The newcomers will compete for their moment in the spotlight during the festival’s live broadcasts.
Changes in Format
Under Carlo Conti’s leadership, several format changes aim to enhance the audience experience. Notably, the festival’s beloved “cover night” will return, allowing artists to perform classic songs in duets or medleys. For the first time, artists in the Big Artists section will also have the option to collaborate with one another during this special evening. Additionally, none of the songs will be eliminated before the grand final, ensuring all artists perform across multiple nights.
Road to Eurovision
As in previous years, the winner of the Sanremo Music Festival will have the right of first refusal to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, set to take place in Basel, Switzerland. This pathway continues to solidify Sanremo’s role as a key element in Italy’s Eurovision success.
With a blend of established stars and fresh talent, Sanremo 2025 promises a spectacular celebration of Italian music. Fans eagerly anticipate the start of the festival in February, where these 30 artists will compete for one of the most coveted titles in Italian music.
