Yesterday, Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR organised a press event to showcase the Eurovision 2025 visual and musical identity, the stage design, as well as to provide information on the upcoming ticket sales. We now have more information about the buying process, but also the prices of each ticket, which have risen compared to Malmö 2024.
A quick reminder of the shows you can attend
As usual, there will be nine shows open to the public during Eurovision week. Indeed, each show broadcast on TV also has three full rehearsals shows, two of them being open to the ticket-buying public: the “afternoon preview” on the same day, a few hours before the broadcast, and the “evening preview”, also known as the “Jury show”, the night before.
This means the following schedule for Eurovision week next year:
First semi-final
- Evening preview – May 12 at 21:00 CEST
- Afternoon preview – May 13 at 15:00 CEST
- Live show – May 13 at 21:00 CEST
Second semi-final
- Evening preview – May 14 at 21:00 CEST
- Afternoon preview – May 15 at 15:00 CEST
- Live show – May 15 at 21:00 CEST
Grand Final
- Evening preview “Jury show” – May 16 at 21:00 CEST
- Afternoon preview – May 17 at 13:30 CEST
- Live show – May 17 at 21:00 CEST
A pre-registration needed to purchase tickets
This year, the first wave of ticket sales will take place on January 29, after the semi-final allocation draw. However, it will not be fully public: anyone interested in buying tickets must first register their interest through the official selling partner, Ticketcorner.
Pre-registration opened on December 16 and will close on January 10. There will only be one round of pre-registration, which will be taken into account for every wave of ticket sales. The process can be found on ticketcorner.ch/esc, and although it does not initially require a signup to the website, an account will eventually be necessary to access the online sale (if you have already followed the pre-registration process, you can create an account afterwards and your preregistration should be saved: trying to pre-register again while logged in will confirm that you are already on the list).
Pre-registration is necessary to get into the ticket sales, but will not guarantee a successful purchase. Demand for tickets is expected to be higher than the supply, as has always been the case for Eurovision, which is one of the fastest-selling event in the world.
If your pre-registration is successful, these should be the next steps:
- on January 17, an email will be sent to inform you about your “authorization” to access the sale (Ticketcorner will try to filter out commercial buyers, resellers, etc. through this step)
- on January 27 (“48 hours before the first wave”), you will receive a unique, personal code to access the online sale
The code will be usable only once, for one order of up to four tickets. This mean you will not be able to pay tickets over several orders, and that you will not be able to buy tickets for more than four shows.
Moreover, any successful order will make you ineligible to the next waves of ticket sales.
