Loreen wins ESC250 2024 – Euphoria crowned again

The Eurovision fandom is full of traditions and on the last day of the year, ESC250 sure is the one. 2024 marks the 17th edition of the event, organised by songfestival.be, in collaboration once again with EFR12Radio. ESCXTRA will be with you all day to bring you the results live on Twitter, Bluesky and in this article!

#ESC250 history

2024 will be the seventeenth edition of the #ESC250. Aside from the tradition to host it on 31st December, it also used to be a bit of a tradition for Loreen to top the list, having done so every year from 2012 to 2021. However, in 2022, she was dethroned by Chanel and her Spanish 2022 entry “Slomo”, with “Euphoria” in second place. Last year, Finland 2023’s Käärijä earned the first sport, with “Cha Cha Cha”, ahead of both of Loreen’s entries, “Tattoo” in second place and “Euphoria” in third.

“Nel blu dipinto di blu” by Domenico Modugno was the oldest entry on the list, coming in at #204, and was also the oldest non-winning song to make the list last year. The second oldest was a winner, “Dansevise” from Denmark, 1963, at position #179. 26 songs from Eurovision 2023 made the list last year. It is expected, based on previous years’ patterns, that many of these will fall in the ranking and/or be replaced by 2024 songs.

Who will top the 2024 entries for fans: Baby Lasagna, Nemo, or someone else? Will any of them beat last year’s winner “Cha Cha Cha”? Or will Loreen manage to get back to the #1 spot?
