Red Sebastian wins Eurosong 2025

Belgium has selected its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 following the final of Eurosong 2025, which took place at EMG Studio 7 in Vilvoorde. The national selection, organized by the Flemish broadcaster VRT, featured eight artists competing for the opportunity to represent Belgium in Basel, Switzerland.

The winner was determined through a combination of votes from an expert jury and public televoting. Red Sebastian was announced as the winner with the song “Strobe Lights” and will go on to perform at Eurovision in May.

The selection process consisted of two showcase episodes aired on January 18 and January 25, where the finalists were Grace Khuabi (“Pull Up”), Jelle van Dael (“Monster”), Le Manou (“Fille à papa”), Leez (“Perfectly Imperfect”), Len Neefs (“Air Balloon”), Mentissa (“Désolée”), Red Sebastian (“Strobe Lights”), and Stefanie Callebaut (“Gloria”). The final, held on February 1, saw each contestant perform their entry in full, with the results determined by a jury panel comprising music industry professionals and a public televote.

Belgium has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest since its debut in 1956 and has won once, in 1986, with Sandra Kim’s “J’aime la vie”. The country’s recent results have varied, with last year’s entry, Mustii’s “Before the Party’s Over”, failing to qualify for the final. With the selection now complete, Red Sebastian will prepare for the contest in Basel, where Belgium will be performing in the First Semi-Final on 13 May 2025.
