Benidorm Fest 2025 concluded on 1 February 2025 at the Palau Municipal d’Esports l’Illa de Benidorm, where Melody was announced as the winner with the song “Esa diva“. The artist will represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, set to take place in Basel, Switzerland.
The final featured eight competing entries, determined through two semi-finals held on 28 and 30 January 2025. The voting system remained unchanged from previous editions, with the results decided by a professional jury (50%) and public voting (50%), which was conducted via the RTVE Play app and televoting. Melody secured the highest combined score.
The show was hosted by Paula Vázquez, Ruth Lorenzo, and Inés Hernand and included performances by Nebulossa, Rigoberta Bandini, and Amaral, among others. The jury for the final consisted of four Spanish and four international members, including representatives from the Ukrainian, Dutch, and Croatian Eurovision delegations.
As the winner of Benidorm Fest 2025, Melody will now prepare for Eurovision 2025. Spain, as a Big Five country, is automatically qualified for the Grand Final, which will be held on 17 May 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
