After another show of three hours, and two rounds of voting, the second semi-final of the Portuguese national selection has selected the six last qualifiers for next week’s final.
Two rounds for a televote wildcard
Festival da Canção’s semi-finals use two rounds to determine its qualifiers. In the first round, a 50/50 mix of televote and jury select five first qualifiers. In the second round, a single, sixth finalist is selected by a single new round of televote, making it a sort of televote wildcard.
The six qualifiers are, in running order:
- Bombazine – “Apago tudo” (1st round)
- Emmy Curl – “Rapsódia da Paz” (1st round)
- Fernando Daniel – “Medo” (1st round)
- Napa – “Deslocado” (1st round)
- Diana Vilarinho – “Cotovia” (1st round)
- Henka – “I Wanna Destroy U” (2nd round)
They join the qualifiers from the first semi-final:
- Jéssica Pina – “Calafrio“
- Josh – “Tristeza“
- Marco Rodrigues – “A Minha Casa“
- Bluay – “Ninguém“
- Margarida Campelo – “Eu sei que o amor“
- Peculiar – “Adamastor“
