During the recent Head of Delegation meeting on Monday March 17 2025, Switzerland the host nation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 randomly drew their running order position for the Grand Final in Basel this May.
Switzerland draw 19th position in the Eurovision 2025 Grand Final
One of the perks of being the host nation of the Eurovision Song Contest is the guarantee of already being pre-qualified into the Grand Final. However, the annual Head of Delegations meeting that occurs following the selection of all the competing entries, offers another unique advantage for the hosts. During this meeting, the host nation gets to randomly choose what number in the Grand Final running order they will perform in. Whereas the acts that qualify through the Semi-Finals only get to choose from, ‘First Half’, ‘Second Half’ and ‘Producer’s Choice’.
In this years’ annual meeting, Switzerland randomly chose the position of 19th place in the Eurovision 2025 Grand Final for Zoë Më and her entry, ‘Voyage’. Typically, this spot has produced good results for its performer. The last four contests have produced top 10 results from this position.
