Eurovision is here! Delegations have been arriving in Basel in the last few days and rehearsals started on May 3. After closing the first rehearsals to the press in 2022, the EBU has now done away with TikTok videoclips. They will instead release sets of three photographs a day after each rehearsal, as well as description of the proceedings on their official channels. As such, today, we cover yesterday’s rehearsals, from the second half of the second semi-finalists, and continue with Georgia, the third rehearsal of the day, with “Hallucination”.

What happened on stage?

- The performance is heavily revamped and changed compared to DMGP, as Sissal herself had teased.
- She begins the performance on a small black platform in the middle of the stage, with four giant transparent curtains hanging from the ceiling and floating around her.
- In the first verse, she’s wearing a blue and white coat, which she takes off for the second verse to reveal blue leotard and blue boots.
- She is accompanied by four dancers who, at first, press their faces in the curtains. They later dance around Sissal with blue handkerchiefs
- In the final section of the song, Sissal descends from her platform and joins the frame stage, as the dancers anchor their feet on the ground and lean back and forth (and presumably on the side), wrapped in blue fabric
- Neon lights and strobes can be expected, forming a sort of “tunnel” around Sissal at the beginning
