NRK the official Eurovision broadcaster for Norway has announced the opening of the song submission window for its national selection, Melodi Grand Prix 2026.
🇳🇴 Melodi Grand Prix 2026 applications open
NRK has officially opened the submission window for Melodi Grand Prix 2026. The deadline for artists and songwriters is September 1 2025. Any nationalities can apply, however it is recommended that at least one Norwegian songwriter is credited in the submission to promote Norway’s music interests. Each artist, producer or songwriter may only submit up to three entries for consideration. NRK also reserves the right to select artists of their choosing to perform a submitted entry. Furthermore, NRK can invite artists and producers of their choice to participate in the competition. All applications will be assessed by a Jury in October. More details of the format will be announced later this year.
“We are looking for uniqueness that can resonate widely, a song that only sticks with us once, that we and the rest of Europe will just want to hear over and over again.”
Tarjei Strøm, (Music Director Melodi Grand Prix)
