The ESC organisers confirm that they are in the early stages of discussing Canada’s Eurovision participation with the Canadian broadcaster CBC.
Martin Green CBE issues statement on Canada joining Eurovision
In statement received by The Euro Trip Podcast, the Director of the Eurovision Song Contest, Martin Green CBE confirmed that:
“The Canadian conversation with CBC is in its very early stages and we look forward to continuing our discussions with them.”
This news comes after earlier reports stating that the Canadian Finance- and Revenue minister François-Philippe Champagne said Canada was invited to join the contest. See our in-depth article about that below!
