How to use the Eurovision Prediction platform
Since 2022 we have used the Eurovision Prediction platform for you to make your predictions for all of the season’s national finals. In order to take part, simply register for our platform with one easy click! Here, you will be able to choose your own username and your nationality. If you have played previously, you will also need to register a new account for the 2026 season.
Then, once each national final has its final line-up chosen, you will be able to select the entry you predict will win. There are some exceptions, such as artist only national finals with no Eurovision entries performed or national finals that release their entries too late to make running a prediction viable. You can change your prediction as many times as you like prior to the deadline. Do be mindful of selections with the Semis and Final close together. Don’t miss out on those valuable points if your early prediction fails to make the selection final! Make sure you click ‘Submit Your Prediction’ to save your choices! Voting will close for each national final at 23:59 CET on the evening before the show takes place. You will be able to keep track of all of your predictions and your ranking all from one screen!
Our scoring system
After all of the national finals in the round have taken place and selected their winners, it is time to award the points. Each national final has equal value to your overall result!
We will calculate your score depending on how close your predicted winners come to winning their respective finals. If you correctly select the national final winner, it’s douze points (12 points) for you. If your prediction finishes in second place, you will earn 10 points. Your prediction finishes 3rd? 8 points. You prediction finishes 4th? 7 points. And so on using the rest of the Eurovision scoring system down to your prediction finishing 10th being adding 1 point to your tally. If your predicted winner fails to make the top 10, it will be a nul points (0 points) round for you!
Of course, if a national final contains less than ten entries then the full extent of the Eurovision scoring system will not be required. In the instance of a national final only declaring the winner or the top three positions, you will receive a standard score of 5 points
Sometimes a broadcaster chooses to reveal full results after the televised show via the internet, or other outlets, after only announcing the winner or the top positions during the show. In such cases, we will change the allocated points to reflect these detailed results as long as they are revealed by an official source prior to the end of the Eurovision Prediction 2026 competition which is expected to be March 7th. In the event of a withdrawal after the broadcast has aired and the broadcaster choosing to send another artist to Eurovision, the original winner of the national selection and point tally still stands.
Leaderboard updates
If you do not submit a prediction for a national final then you will receive 0 points… obviously! At the end of each national final, the points will be assigned and you will receive a rankings update via our Eurovision Prediction platform. Furthermore, we will make sure to notify you via our Eurovision Prediction Twitter page and here on the ESCXTRA website. The player that accumulates the most points after all the rounds have taken place will be crowned the winner of Eurovision Prediction 2026!
