The last national selection of the year 2025, Montesong, has just concluded, and Tamara Živković won it. She will thus represent Montenegro at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna next year, with the song “Nova Zora”.
Victory for “Nova Zora”
The final of Montenegro’s national selection for Eurovision 2026 took place on 21 December 2025 and was decided by a 50/50 combination of votes from a five-member international jury and the public. The public vote consisted of a televote and online voting via the RTCG website, with online voting open worldwide. Both the jury and public votes produced rankings that were converted into points using the Eurovision system of 1–8, 10 and 12 points.
“Nova zora” finished first with the jury, receiving 38 jury votes, which translated into 12 points in the combined scoreboard. The song placed second in the public vote and received 10 points. With a total of 22 points, Tamara Živković finished first overall and won the competition.
The show also included interval performances and the presentation of awards from the Association of Entertainers and Performers of Montenegro. Baryak received the discovery of the year award, Bubnjivi i psi were named group of the year, Edo Abdović was recognised for contribution to Montenegrin musical culture, Nina Žižić won hit of the year for “Dobrodošli,” and the female and male singer of the year awards went to Andrijana Božović and Knez. Majda Božović received a participation award for best interpretation.
“Nova Zora” earned won the jury votes with 38 points, turned into 12 points in the 50/50 split, and finished second in the public vote, earning 10 points, for a total of 22.
