Lithuania opened its search for a representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with the broadcast of the first semi-final of Eurovizija.LT on Saturday, 24 January.
The show was organised by Lithuanian National Radio and Television and was filmed at LRT studios in Vilnius. Eight acts competed in the semi-final, with the results decided by a 50/50 combination of votes from a professional jury and the public televote. The two highest-ranked entries qualified directly for the final, while the third-placed act advanced to the online wildcard round.
Rug!le and Noy Qualify to Eurovizija.LT Final
The artists competing in the first semi-final were Siga with “Noriu Jo”, Valdas Lacko with “Pabandom”, Elizabeth Olshey with “Between”, Noy with “Stand Up”, Rug!le with “Ikona Žemaitė”, Aistė Pilvelytė with “Tarp žvaigždžių tylos”, Thomas G with “One Night Lover”, and The Ditties with “Mambo”.
Following the combination of jury and public votes, Rug!le and Noy secured the first two places and advanced to the final of Eurovizija.LT 2026. The third-place finisher, Thomas G, progressed to the wildcard round, where they will compete against the other semi-final third-place acts for a single remaining spot in the final. The remaining entries were eliminated from the competition.
Eurovizija.LT Final on 27 February in Vilnius
Eurovizija.LT 2026 continues with the second semi-final on 31 January. The live final of the Lithuanian national selection is scheduled for 27 February, when Lithuania will choose its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna.
