Five songs advanced to the final of Festival da Canção 2026 following the first semi-final held Feb. 21.
The show, organized by Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, featured eight entries competing for five places in the March 7 final. The winner of the national final will represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, Austria.
5 Acts Qualify to March 7 Final
Four finalists were selected through a combined vote of a jury panel and public televoting. A fifth entry qualified in a second round determined solely by public vote.
The first four qualifiers were:
- Dinis Mota with “Jurei”
- Nunca Mates o Mandarim with “Fumo”
- Evaya with “Sprint”
- Marquise with “Chuva”
André Amaro qualified in the second round of televoting with “Dá-me a tua mão.”
Eliminated from the competition were Agridoce with “Onde quero estar,” Bateu Matou with “Nos teus olhos,” and Mário Marta with “Pertencer.”
The second semi-final is scheduled for Feb. 28. Five additional songs will advance to complete the 10-song lineup for the final.
