After an exciting evening finale of San Marino’s Eurovision 2026 selection process San Marino Song Contest 2026, it is the ‘Freaky Queen’ Senhit and British music legend Boy George who emerge victorious.
Senhit to represent San Marino for fourth time
Overnight, the latest edition of San Marino’s national selection was held. Again the San Marino Song Contest 2026 took place at the Teatro Nuovo in Dogana. During the Final 20 acts performed. A five-person jury decided the overall winner. Top five were as follows:
- Senhit ft. Boy George – ‘Superstar’ (1st)
- Kelly Joyce – ‘Oh Là Là’ (2nd)
- Paolo Belli – ‘Bellissima’ (3rd)
- Inis Neziri – ‘Aurora’ (4th)
- Maya Azucena – ‘My Sin’ (5th)
Other prizes handed out during the show were:
- Pellegrina Pibigas – ‘Il giorno che’ Press Award
- Dolcenera – ‘My Love’ Critics’ Award, Best Lyrics Award
- Maya Azucena – ‘My Sin’ Best New Artist
- Rosa Chemical – ‘Mammamì’ Style Award
Senhit and her ‘Superstar’ performance landed the ticket to Vienna, Austria later this May. However, Boy George did not make an appearance in the competition. Instead, he featured in the LED visuals whilst his section of the track played. Will he appear at Eurovision 2026? Stay tuned!
Many will remember that Senhit has previously represented the microstate on numerous occasions. She joins Valentina Monetta on four appearances for San Marino. ‘Stand By’ (2011), ‘Freaky’ (2020 cancelled contest), ‘Adrenalina’ (2021).
