Today, as the final batch of artists and songs are revealed for Eurovision 2026 it is the turn of Armenian broadcaster AMPTV to confirm that SIMÓN will represent the Caucasus nation in Vienna with ‘Paloma Rumba’
SIMÓN releases music video for Eurovision 2026 entry ‘Paloma Rumba’
After keeping their cards close to their chest year, AMPTV are ready to share that they have internally selected SIMÓN to represent the nation at Eurovision 2026. The Runner-Up from Depi Evratesil 2025 will take, ‘Paloma Rumba’ to the Vienna stage this May. To coincide with the announcement, the music video has been released on the official Eurovision YouTube channel.
“For many years, I dreamed of performing on the big stage at the Eurovision Song Contest, and today my dream has finally come true. This moment is the result of years of hard work and unwavering belief. I hope my song inspires a sense of freedom, fills you with energy, and reminds you that sometimes, achieving your dreams only takes one brave step out of your comfort zone.”
The song has a familiar team behind it with plenty of Eurovision pedigree. Among the songwriters are Rosa Linn who represented Armenia in 2022, alongside Eva Voskanyan who wrote Armenia’s 2025 entry, David Tserunyan, the writer behind Armenia’s JESC 2021 winner ‘Qami Qami’ and composer Lilit Navasardyan who worked on SIMÓN’s national final entry ‘Ay paparey bye’ as well as Armenia’s 2016 and 2017 entries.
