ORF, the host broadcaster of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 has confirmed that Emily Busvine will be responsible for the hosting duties to welcome artists and delegations in the Vienna Green Room.
🇦🇹 Emily Busvine to host Vienna Green Room
Earlier this year, ORF confirmed that Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski will take charge of the main hosting duties for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Now the broadcaster has announced Emily Busvine as the host for the Green Room.
During the contest this role provides a comedic bridge between the performances while the stage crew are busy setting up for the next act. Especially if any technical delays occur. Of course, the Green Room is well known for the atmosphere and tension as it captures the immediate reactions of the performers during the results of the shows.
This year the Vienna Green Room will feature a traditional Viennese coffee shop across the live shows in May.
“I’m trying not to think about it too much, honestly. It’s one thing to stand in a radio studio with a microphone and to know, in an abstract sense, that people are listening to you, but to be on live TV is a wholly different experience. I just want to make sure that everyone feels comfortable and has a good time.
I’m delighted to be part of the Eurovision Song Contest shows in Vienna in this unique role in the Green Room. I will ensure that all the contestants feel comfortable in the Green Room and have a relaxed and enjoyable time in true Viennese coffee house culture. As the host, I will also engage the acts in conversation – just as you might in a Viennese café.”
Born in Vienna in 1996, Emily Busvine studied political science in the UK at the University of Cambridge. In her early life, Emily also spent time in Warsaw, Berlin and Moscow. After returning to Vienna to complete her Masters, Emily began her career on Viennese radio hosting the FM4 Morning Show. Earlier this year, Emily hosted the English-language YouTube stream for Austria’s national selection.
