Eurovision is back! Delegations have landed/arrived in Vienna these last few days and rehearsals started last Saturday. Just like last year, for the first rehearsal, the EBU releases information on the day of each reharsal, with a sets of three photographs publishe the day after. As such, today, we cover yesterday’s rehearsals, from the second half of the first semi-final (automatic qualifiers excluded). First of the day was Montenegro with “Nova Zora”
🇲🇪 Montenegro – Tamara Živković – First rehearsal
The following pictures have been published by the official Eurovision accounts.
What happened on stage?
This description is sourced from indications given by the official Eurovision Reddit account.
- The performance is staged across three acts, announced by Roman numerals on the LED screen, just like in the Montesong performance
- Tamara wears a black outfit with tight, high boots, a corset and lace around her wrist, as well as a large black ruff around her neck. She performs with four dancers, wearing black outfits with white “collars”
- She starts on the floor, “draped” by the dancers, before “contorting herself into a standing position”
- The dancers perform different dancers around her throughout the act, sometimes in sync, sometimes more “maniacally”
- As for the stage atmosphere, it is mainly read, with some shades of blues. LED screens show thunder and even lava.
Here’s the small message Tamara had for the Eurovision fans after her rehearsal:
Stay tuned for further coverage tomorrow, with the rehearsals of today, and for our live coverage on the ground starting on May 9, which will include (among other things) the full dress rehearsals and the live shows, live from Vienna!
