Eurovision is back! Delegations have landed/arrived in Vienna these last few days and rehearsals started last weekend. Just like last year, for the first rehearsal, the EBU releases information on the day of each reharsal, with a sets of three photographs publishe the day after. As such, today, we cover yesterday’s rehearsals, from the first half of the second semi-final (automatic qualifiers excluded). And the second to last from yesterday was Armenia’s “Paloma Rumba”.
🇦🇲 Armenia – SIMÓN – First rehearsal
The following pictures have been published by the official Eurovision accounts.
What happened on stage?
This description is sourced from indications given by the official Eurovision Reddit account.
- SIMÓN starts with a light blue outfit and ends up with a costume change/reveal, after which he ends up topless
- The stage reproduces the idea of the office present in the music video, with at least 16 boxes of papers stacked on eachother, but quickly destroyed during the performance,
- SIMÓN begins by being hung upside down by his five dancers, and concludes the performance with a “victory pose on top of them”
- The first shot seems to be in an enclosed space, in front of what looks like an elevator door (see the first picture)
- The actual performance is described as very energetic: we know that the stacked boxes are blown away, that SIMÓN takes some of his outfit off, but also that he grabs the camera at some point
Here’s the small message SIMÓN had for the Eurovision fans after his rehearsal:
Stay tuned for further coverage tomorrow, with the rehearsals of today, and for our live coverage on the ground starting on May 9, which will include (among other things) the full dress rehearsals and the live shows, live from Vienna!
