Eurovision is back! Delegations have landed/arrived in Vienna these last few days and rehearsals started last weekend. Just like last year, for the first rehearsal, the EBU releases information on the day of each reharsal, with a sets of three photographs publishe the day after. As such, today, we cover yesterday’s rehearsals, from the first half of the second semi-final (automatic qualifiers excluded). And the fourth act from yesterday was Luxembourg’s “Mother Nature”.

The following pictures have been published by the official Eurovision accounts.
What happened on stage?
This description is sourced from indications given by the official Eurovision Reddit account.
- Eva Marija uses an earthy-beige outfit that is similar to what we saw in the Luxembourg Song Contest, but as one dress replacing the trousers. It remains ample enough to let her move around easily.
- Indeed, she runs across the stage during the performance, which seems to be an upgraded version of the national selection’s staging
- The main novelty so far is that nature springs to life around Eva Marija: butterflies, birds, plants, with which she interacts. It is not yet clear whether these are props, LED screen graphics or even special camera-only effects. The pictures do confirm that there will at least be some on the LED screens.
- The violin solo seems to remain as Eva Marija was shown with her violin in an Instagram post after
As a reminder, this was her performance back in Luxembourg:
Here’s the small message Eva Marija had for the Eurovision fans after her rehearsal:
Stay tuned for further coverage tomorrow, with the rehearsals of today, and for our live coverage on the ground starting on May 9, which will include (among other things) the full dress rehearsals and the live shows, live from Vienna!
