SMRTV have confirmed the date for its Eurovision Song Contest 2027 selection San Marino Song Contest 2027. The Grand Final of the multi-show event will take place on March 6.
🇸🇲 San Marino Song Contest 2027 live shows set for March 3, 4 and 6
National Sanmarinese broadcaster SMRTV have confirmed the dates for the upcoming San Marino Contest 2027. The two live Semi-Finals will now take place on March 3 and March 4. Afterwards the Grand Final of San Marino’s Eurovision 2026 national selection will be held on March 6.
Once again, the expanded national selection will take place at the Teatro Nuovo in Dogana. Viewers can follow the broadcast live on San Marino RTV, channel 550, and on Radio San Marino.
Each Semi-Final of the San Marino Song Contest will feature 20 competitors selected through “Dreaming San Marino Song Contest,” a process run by Media Evolution. During the Dreaming San Marino Song Contest phase of the process a jury will assess 240 acts during a series of casting rounds. Those that advance, will undergo further assessment in the Stage & Live Academy. This will feature eight shows with five acts progressing from each.
A total of five acts from each San Marino Song Contest Semi-Final will advance to the Final, where they will join 10 acts invited by SMRTV. Should an act native to San Marino not advance, SMRTV reserves the right to offer a wildcard pass to the Grand Final.
Massimo Bonelli is the Artistic Director of the competition, while Cristiano D’Alisera is the Director. Meanwhile the Director of Photography is Marco Lucarelli, and the Scenography will be by Marco Calzavara, in collaboration with Media Evolution and under the patronage of the Secretariat of State for Tourism.
The winner will be chosen by a five-person jury and represent San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 in Bulgaria, next May.
