After JJ’s victory in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, numerous Austrian cities are declaring their interest to be the host city for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Next to consider a bid is the Austrian city of Graz hoping to offer their location as the home of Austria 2026.
Graz for Eurovision 2026?
The Styrian capital of Graz is a famed for its UNESCO World Heritage site at the heart of its historic centre. Now they are considering submitting a bid to host the 70th Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Next year the contest will take place in Austria following JJ’s victory with, ‘Wasted Love’. In the aftermath, ORF confirmed the bidding process will commence in the coming days. The focus will be on venue suitability, proximity of the nearest airport and infrastructure.
Politicians in Graz are currently deep in discussions over a possible bid. A proposal will be assessed by the Stadtsenat to determine the financial viability of a bid and the level of favourable support towards submitting an official bid.

The city of Graz is the second most populous in Austria. The main arena is the Stadthalle, which has a capacity of 11,000 when used for music concerts.
