Dami Im celebrates birth of second child

Australia’s Eurovision icon Dami Im who finished runner-up in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, has shared the news of the recent birth of her second child

In a recent social media post, Dami Im shared the wonderful news that her family is growing! Following the birth of her first child, Harrison (Harry) in 2022, Dami has now given birth to her second son with husband, Noah.

Rory Jiyul Kim was born on Tuesday June 3rd. After welcoming the birth, Dami Im told local media that elder son, Harry was partially responsible for Rory’s name. During a discussion over potential names, the family settled on Rory based on a lion in one of Harry’s children’s books.

Later this year, Dami will return to music, with a new single expected in September.

Dami Im in the Eurovision Song Contest Contest

Following her early success in winning The X Factor Australia in 2013, the Korean-born Australian chart-topper was internally selected by SBS for the 2016 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Coming together in Stockholm, Dami’s soaring vocals earned Australia its best result in the contest to date. As well as their first qualification following direct entrance to the Grand Final in their debut 2015 year. The anthemic pop-ballad ‘Sound of Silence’ finished in second place with 511 points. Just 24 points short of taking victory. A jury favourite and always popular with the fans, ‘Sound of Silence’ also took the coveted Composer Award in the Marcel Bezençon Awards.
