Bulgaria will choose its Eurovision 2026 entry through a new national selection, as announced by Bulgarian National Television (BNT). The broadcaster confirmed that it has invited fifteen Bulgarian performers to take part in the selection process, which will determine both the artist and the song that will represent the country at next year’s contest.
Artists invited to compete in Bulgarian national selection
BNT selected the invited artists based on their prominence in Bulgarian radio and television airplay during 2025, their positions in the PROPHON “BG Top 40” chart, and their performance on major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. Social media metrics were also part of the selection criteria. According to the broadcaster, the goal is to balance established names with strong media presence and emerging artists who have demonstrated notable success in digital music spaces.
Artists who accept the invitation will participate in a live televised music program that will unfold in three stages across January and February 2026. The winner of the selection will be decided through a combination of audience voting and the verdict of a professional jury.
