The Grand Final of Eurovision 2026 is concluding and Bulgaria won the Contest, with “Bangaranga”, performed by DARA.
🇧🇬 Victory for the dark horse
Far from being a favourite when entering Eurovision week, “Bangaranga” became a dark horse as results from the Press Poll and Audience Poll showed a clear appeal coming alive on stage.
Bulgaria won the Contest with 516 points : 204 from the juries (1st place) and 312 from the public (1st place). Coming 2nd was Israel (343 points) and completing the podium, Romania (296 points). This becomes the first country since 2017 to win both the juries and the public vote!
🇧🇬 A first victory for Bulgaria
Bulgaria returned to the Contest in Vienna after a hiatus of three years, and have entered the small club of countries winning on a debut/returning year.
The last time this happened was in 2017, when Portugal won, and when Bulgaria produced what was still their best result until today, the 2nd place of Kristian Kostov, with “Beautiful Mess”.
