After wowing audiences around the world during the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, Australia’s superstar Delta Goodrem will feature as a performing act during the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow.
Delta Goodrem returns to the Commonwealth Games
Today, Glasgow plays host to the Commonwealth Games 2026. As tickets were released for the Closing Ceremony of the twenty-third edition of the multi-national sports event, a familiar name appeared among the list of performers.
On Sunday 2 August 2026, Glasgow will officially hand over the Commonwealth Games to the next host, Ahmedabad, India. During the Closing Ceremony there will be a celebration of Scotland and India with performers from both nations. Also performing on the night will be Australia’s Eurovision 2026 representative who placed fourth in Vienna, Delta Goodrem. Described as bringing a “special homage to Scotland” on the night. Many will know that Delta has a long history with the Games. This will mark her third performance after previously performing at the opening ceremonies for Melbourne 2006 and Gold Coast 2018.
In a busy year for Delta Goodrem after giving Australia its best placing in Eurovision since 2016, the talented singer will soon be switching her music skills for dancing and sequins on the Strictly ballroom! As well as this, Delta releases her new album Pure on 6 November before she embarks on a World Tour to coincide with the launch of new music.
