As Bulgaria prepares to host the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2027 next May, the local authorities in Burgas have confirmed the Port of Burgas will host the Eurovision Village.
🇧🇬 Bulgarian government agrees for Port of Burgas to host Eurovision Village
One of the most important locations during Eurovision week has now been revealed. The Mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov and Transport Minister, Georgi Peev have finalised the details for the Port of Burgas to host the Eurovision Village for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 next May.
For those with or without live show tickets on May 11, May 13 and May 15, the village is one of the highlights of the week. Typically fans can expect to see their favourite Eurovision artists in a more close-up setting. As well as performances from local artists to the region hosting and interactive quizzes. Many guests can also expect to see merchandise stands and food and drink outlets.
”We discussed the requirements for the site, and a commitment was made to have it cleared and prepared very soon that EBU representatives can subsequently approve the location for the ‘Eurovision Village’. We reached a full consensus regarding the construction and access routes from the railway station, the South Bus Station, and the Port of Burgas toward the public access zone. This site is the most suitable choice because it is in the immediate vicinity of the city centre and offers excellent connectivity- being close to the railway station, bus station and the Sea Garden- without disrupting the city’s public transport logistics; in fact, it will do quite the opposite.”
Dimitar Nikolo, (Mayor of Burgas)
The exact location is the site of the former Warehouse 7 on the port. The Port of Burgas is the largest on the Black Sea. Serving as the primary logistics centre for commercial trade and cargo across the region. Currently, access to what will become the Eurovision Village from the Arena Burgas will take approximately 25-30 minutes via public transport.
