Beck to perform ‘Chamguigeer (Without You)’ at Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026

Later this November the first Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 will take place in Bangkok, Thailand. Following a rule infringement Mongolia’s artist Beck has changed his song from ‘Light’ to ‘Chamguigeer (Without You)’

Last month, MNC selected Beck to represent Mongolia on the Bangkok stage on November 14. Following the conclusion of the song selection show it was revealed that the winning entry, ‘Light’ had been released commercially in 2018. Within the rules of the contest it stipulates that songs cannot be released before July 1 2026. After this discovery of the rule break, Beck has now changed the song he will perform to the runner-up entry, ‘Chamguigeer (Without You)’. The song was written and composed by, Otgonbayar Damba, Gankhurel.B and Munkhbaytar Ganbaatar.

From an educated background, Beck Munkhbayar is known to Mongolian households through his hosting work on CNBC Mongolia. As well as this, Beck has also advised the Deputy Prime Minister, but has been a long-time Eurovision fan.

International broadcasters may also choose to buy broadcast rights within their programming schedule.

Similarly to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest format, the winning broadcaster is not automatically forced to host the following edition. Instead a bidding process will take place after the 2026 contest concludes to decide who will host the Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2027.
