The final of Mini EMA took place last night to decide Slovenia’s entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and it was won by Lina Kuduzović with ‘Prva Ljubezen’.
Lina was competing head to head with Leni, and the winner was decided by the Slovenian public. ‘Prva Ljubezen’ (‘First Love’) was co-written by Lina, along with Maraaya, who have become quite a Eurovision force to be reckoned with in Slovenia in the last few years.
The duo also co-wrote last year’s Slovenian entry for Junior Eurovision, ‘Nisi Sam’ (‘Your Light’) and represented Slovenia as artists in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Here For You’. One half of Maraaya, Raay, also co-wrote Slovenia’s 2014 entry, ‘Round And Round’ for Tinkara Kovač, and is also a prolific songwriter and producer for other artists.
The song will be Slovenia’s 2nd entry to Junior Eurovision and Lina will be hoping to better last year’s 12th place when the competition takes place in Sofia on Saturday 21 November. You can watch ‘Prva Ljubezen’ below.
