Alex Larke aiming for a solo album

One half of the United Kingdom’s swinging duo Electro Velvet is trying to release a solo album. Alex Larke has started a PledgeMusic campaign in order to fund this album.
Speaking to us from the loo (seriously, check out his video here), Alex tells his fans that Electro Velvet are now on a short hiatus and that it’s time for him to do a solo album. He’s not quite ready to reveal the style of the album yet, though… What he does reveal is some good old traffic violence and his dog. Oh and his skills as a drag artist…
If you think Alex’s album should be a dream coming true for him, there’s a number of items you can get when supporting (read: donating for) his album campaign. There’s signed singles, the new album, a poster and stuff for those who really want to splash the cash. If you want to be the big spender, you can buy an Alex Larke guitar, a Skype call with him on Christmas or even the suit he wore during the Grand Final of Eurovision. Remember though, he did say he didn’t bring that to the dry cleaners yet…
All jokes aside, 10% of all raised money won’t go the album. It will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, so there’s a good cause attached to it. The standings are currently only on 32% for Alex’s campaign, so there’s a lot to gain. Only 68 days left too…
Will Alex get to 100%? It may well be in your hands. If you want to support him, click here!
