Switzerland is going to have another Canadian represent the country at Eurovision! She is called Rykka and singing “The Last Of Our Kind”.
The audience’s reactions made it pretty clear from the beginning that Rykka was likely to win the “ESC 2016 – Entscheidungshow”. None of the other contestants got more cheers from the crowd – not even the ever-smiling Vincent Gross who has a lot of young girls adoring him as the Swiss answer to Justin Bieber. In the end, the voting resulted in the following order:
- Rykka – The Last Of Our Kind
- Bella C – Another World
- Vincent Gross – Half A Smile
- Stanley Miller – Feel The Love
- Theo – Because Of You
- Kaceo – Disque d’Or
An entertainment highlight of the Swiss national final was by far the band Kaceo that brought a lot of fun as well as a unicorn and some other animals on stage. As the Swiss are not exactly known for bold choices regarding Eurovision, they went the safe way with Rykka and her contemporary electro-pop ballad “The Last Of Our Kind”.
