Melodi Grand Prix has just ended and Agnete will represent Norway in Stockholm in May.
Her song “Icebreaker” has won with 195,728 votes the National Final that, since last year, has been organised in only one evening.
The song is written by the singer herself, in collaboration with the Swedish composer Gabriel Alares (who composed Russia’s song for Eurovision 2015 amongst other Russian entries and Swedish hits) and the British Ian Curnow.
Out of ten songs, four qualified for the “guld final”. The final results saw Freddy Kalas with “Feel da rush” coming second with 88.128 votes, the boyband Suite 16 with “Anna Lee” third with 56.671 and in last place – for the guld final – Laila Samuels with “Afterglow”, reaching only 48.865 votes.
