Freddie wins A Dal and is off to Stockholm

No shock tonight in Hungary when it comes to the result of A Dal 2016. Freddie has won the competition with his song Pioneer and he’ll be off to Stockholm to fly the Hungarian flag. He was already the big favourite before tonight’s show.
After all eight entries were performed tonight, the jury voted for their favourites. The following scores were on the board after that:

  1. Freddie – Pioneer: 34
  2. Gergő Oláh – Győz A Jó: 28
  3. Kállay Saunders Band – Who We Are: 18
  4. Petruska – Trouble In My Mind: 14
  5. André Vásáry – Why: 10
  6. Parno Graszt – Már Nem Szédülök: 4
  7. Olivér Berkes & Andi Tóth – Seven Seas: 4
  8. Mushu – Uncle Tom: 0

The top four progressed to televoting, which was then won by Freddie. He’ll now travel to Stockholm and will be hoping to keep Hungary’s non-stop qualification since 2012 going.
