Tribute to Avicii

After the unexpected death of Swedish world star Avicii on Friday, the Madrid ESPreparty decided to perform a tribute to him. Host entry Alfred left his Amaia on the side for a few minutes as he invited Latvia’s Laura Rizzotto to perform together with him. During the intro, Rizzotto explained that they wanted to honour Avicii. They decided to perform his song “Wake Me Up”. The audience, including Amaia and Soraya Arnelas, sang along for the full song.

Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, suddenly passed away on Friday. The 28 year old was found dead in a hotel in Muscat, the capital of Oman. No cause of death has yet been revealed.

The Swedish DJ was involved in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013, when he composed the official anthem “We Write The Story”. He did that together with Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus from ABBA.
