The latest artist to rehearse for the second time is Sevak Khanagyan for Armenia. We have just watched their latest run through of Qami live on screen and here is our initial reaction.
Staging
Sevak still has a big prop on stage with him, which does absolutely nothing at all. It’s kinda like a circular cage which surrounds him but the bars are not too far off the floor. On-screen, Armenia is using the letterbox effect as seen earlier in the first semifinal by the Czech Republic.
Camera shots in this performance: 42
Vocal
Absolutely pitch perfect. It is an incredible vocal performance by Sevak, which actually elevates the performance as much as is physically possible.
Costume
Sevak is wearing the same outfit as in the first rehearsal – a grey dressing-gown-like cloak.
To qualify or not to qualify?
We have taken a flash poll from around the ESCXTRA table here in the press centre and 11 out of 11 of us say…
NO!
