Ben Camille has been confirmed to host the very first series of X Factor Malta. He is well known for giving out Malta’s Jury Points in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 and hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest that same year.
Dream Come True
Ben spoke to TVM after it was announced that he was hosting X Factor Malta and had the following to say:
”This is a dream come true. The X factor is one of the most prestigious TV formats and I feel humbled with this great opportunity.“
X Factor Malta and Eurovision Song Contest
It was earlier confirmed, that X Factor Malta will be taking place in October 2018. TVM have also confirmed, that the winner of X Factor Malta will win the right to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
In addition to winning the ticket to participate at the Eurovision Song Contest, the winner of X Factor will also win a recording contract with Sony Music Italy.

Christabelle was selected to represent Malta in Lisbon with her song “Taboo”. Unfortunately, despite being a fan fabourite, she failed to qualify for the Grand Final, placing 13th in her Semi-Final.
