Yesterday on 9th of July three male Eurovision artist celebrated their birthday. Today however is dedicated to one Eurovision female artist. She took part at Eurovision with the Danish group Bandjo. Anne-Cathrine Herdorf was born on this day.

Denmark selected the group Banjo as their winner at Dansk Meldodi Grand Prix in 1987. Anne-Cathrine was the lead singer of that band. Therefore she went to the Eurovision Song Contest in Brussel that year. Where she performed the song “En lille Meldodi”. The song got good responses and scored 83 points, that is it placed 5th out of 22 acts. Denmark has five times been in 5th place, last time it happen was in 2011 with the song “New Tomorrow“. Anne-Cathrine has after this been part of Grand Prix as a host, guest performer and a jury member.
