Another Sunday (night), another collection of Eurovision tidbits from all corners of the Euroverse. This week I bring you a musical theater star, some scary Icelanders and some yummy food! And this week's Fountain of Wisdom; Duncan James! This week's fountain of wisdom - Duncan James There really are a lot of wise Eurovision alumni, and this week I will share with you the wisdom of Duncan James. In addition to being a good cook, being better looking than what ought to be legal and representing the UK in Eurovision with one of the country's best entries, he is also a very wise man. In Iceland, however, the preparations are well under way. As you might know, Icelanders' feelings towards Eurovision are only rivalled by their feelings towards Christmas. They have an intense, some may say unhealthy, relationship with Christmas music, resulting in for instance "Gente di mare" showing up as a Christmas song. And every year there is this HUGE Christmas concert called "Frostrósir", where loads of great singers take part. What I'm gonna say next hasn't at all been confirmed yet, but it seems very likely; Ari will be part of "Frostrósir" this year! Or will he actually play the next 007? Its offical im going to star as 007 in the next film 🎥 … What a dream it would be tho😍instagram.com And based on this photo shoot; Christmas will also bring another couple of familiar faces! Selma captioned this first one "Gleðileg jól" (Merry Christmas) Daniel is Jean in Mexico! Daniel Diges, that is. We often wonder what our Eurovision stars do, after the lights are turned off and they climb off the Eurovision stage. It's been eight years since Daniel Diges sang about "something tiny" in Oslo. Now he's moved on to somthing much bigger; He is Jean. And the Jean I'm talking about is of course Jean Valjean. Daniel is playing the lead in the running production of Les Miserables at Teatro Telcel in Mexico City. https://www.instagram.com/p/Blv4zMBHu6v/?taken-by=danieldiges Pernilla hos Lotta Lotta Engberg, who represented Sweden at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest with "Boogaloo", hosts her own, wildly popular, singalong show. It's called Lotta på Liseberg, and takes place at Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg. One of her guests this week was Pernilla Wahlgren. She performed a song that she and Benjamin Ingrosso wrote together, called "Utan dig" (Without you). It's written to her youngest son, and is about her thoughts and feelings regarding being without him when he lives with his dad. It's not his birthday, so it's not a huge birthday party. Is he getting married? Or might he be playing a gig in Oslo? (Wishful thinking!) No; we are, of course, all assuming that's the release date of his new album! Well, so is Benjamin Ingrosso. He shares a lot of food pictures on his instagram; both his own creations and others'.
