Serbia has announced on social media that it will participate in next year’s competition in Israel.

Return of Beovizija confirmed
RTS will once again use Beovizija to select the act that will represent them in Israel.
According to RTS, once the entries have been submitted, the entries will then be analyzed and shortlisted by a committee consisting of music editors of RTS based on music quality. If, however, there are entries which the committee feels does not meet the music quality, RTS has the right to override this and let the entry compete.
RTS has also confirmed that Beovizija will use a mixture of voting in order to select their act for Israel. 50% of the votes will come from music experts and 50% of the vote will come from the public.

Since their debut, Serbia has participated eleven times. Out of their eleven participations, they have managed to make the final eight times.
In 2018, Serbia was represented by Sanja Ilić and Balkanika with the song “Nova Deca“. In Lisbon, they managed to bring Serbia back to the Grand Final (after failing to qualify in 2017). They managed to finish 19th out of the 43 countries participating in 2018.
