Ellen Benediktson & Simon Peyron – Surface
Rehearsal One – Thursday
Ellen and Simon’s performance mainly focuses on the emotion of the song, which is common on duo performances whether it’s at Eurovision or at National Finals. Unfortunately, on this occasion Ellen is unwell and her part is being sang by a backing vocalist.
The staging mainly sees Ellen and Simon standing on stage with water projections being shown in the background. As with the song, it carries a lot of emotions, and it shows. Even though this entry is different from what they have both entered into the competition previously, they have performed the song pretty well.
Rehearsal Two – Friday
In the second rehearsal, we saw Ellen and Simon’s staging come to shape. We saw more lighting added, and with Ellen in a better condition, we are now seeing the full potential of their entry, and how they intended to portray it in the first rehearsal.
