🇸🇪 SVT reveals the full results of Melodifestivalen 2020

Today the Swedish broadcaster SVT has revealed the full results of Melodifestivalen 2020.

In each semifinal, seven different age groups, who vote with the app and the televoters awarded points 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1. At the andra chansen, on the each duel, each age group and the televoters gave one point to one of the two entries.

In the final, the age groups and the televoters gave points in the Eurovision style, meaning 12, 10 and then from 8 to 1. The age groups are 3-9 years, 10-15 years, 16-29 years, 30-44 years, 45-59 years, 60-74 years and 75+.

The Mamas, who eventually won the whole contest, won the first semifinal. They got the highest number of votes in total and the 12 points from four age groups and the televote. Robin Bengtsson got the 12 points from three age groups.

Dotter got the highest amount of votes in the second semifinal, but Anna Bergendahl was the winner by getting more points in total. All four of the older age groups and the televote gave Anna 12 points.

Mariette got the highest number of votes and the highest points in the third semifinal. The group Drängarna got 12 points from the televote. Anis Don Demina got more votes in total than Mohombi, but by getting more points Mohombi qualified to the final.

Hanna Ferm got the highest amount of points from all the semifinalists. Only one age group, 16 to 29, didn’t give her the 12 points. Similarly Victor Crone was second in all the age groups but got the 12 points from the 16 to 29.

William Stridh got more votes in total than Frida Öhrn and Ellen Benediktson & Simon Peyron, but got less points, meaning he got eliminated on the second round of the vote.

Anis Don Demina was the clear winner of the first duel by getting the points from all but one age group. Only people aged 60 to 74 thought Ellen & Simon was better.

While Malou Prytz got more votes in total, Paul Rey got more points and therefore qualified to the final.

Felix Sandman and Frida Öhrn both got four points in the third duel, but Felix Sandman got more votes in total. Felix Sandman got the points from the younger demographic, while the older voters and the televote was on Frida’s side.

The winner The Mamas got the highest amount of points from the audience, as well as highest amount of votes in total. However, only two age groups gave them the 12 points.

Anna Bergendahl got 12 points from three of the oldest age groups and the televote. Dotter, who placed second in the final, was the favourite of one age group, 30 to 44.
