As part of the Eurovision programming in Finland, we saw special performances by Finnish Eurovision artists. Finland’s only Eurovision winner Lordi performed with Krista Siegfrids and gave us a new version of Israel’s winning entry “Diva”.

Despite the 2020 contest being cancelled, the Finnish broadcaster gave the Eurovision fans something to watch during the Eurovision week. Every evening from Thursday to Saturday, we saw some of the most memorable contests for the Finnish viewers. Before the contests, guests were invited to talk about Eurovision. The guests included UMK20 winner Aksel Kankaanranta and runner-up Erika Vikman, Eurovision 2007 hosts Jaana Pelkonen, Mikko Leppilampi and Krisse Salminen and the Eurovision winner Lordi.
On Friday evening, Yle broadcasted the final of Eurovision Song Contest 2006, where Lordi won for the first time for Finland. Before the show, Finland’s 2013 representative Krista Siegfrids joined forces with the Lordi, as they covered Dana International’s “Diva”.
The day before, on Thursday, Yle showed the final of Eurovision Song Contest 2014, where Softengine achieved the second-best result for Finland. That evening Erika Vikman appeared on the pre-show and performed a rather emotional version of her UMK20 entry “Cicciolina”.
