🇩🇰 Anja Nissen releases new single ‘If We Only Had Tonight’

Three years since her participation at the Eurovision Song Contest for Denmark, Anja Nissen has released her new single ‘If We Only Had Tonight’. This is Anja’s latest release after her ‘Where I Am’ EP and her first as an independent artist.

About ‘If We Only Had Tonight’

‘If We Only Had Tonight’ is one of more down-tempo songs and mainly focuses on her voice and the emotional depth of the song. For her latest release Anja co-wrote the song with Brent Baccetti.

When her new song was released, Anja commented more on what the song is about and the meaning of it:

“This song was born from the intense and overwhelming feelings I had when my boyfriend found himself in a life-threatening situation. I turned to my piano and this song just poured out of me”

“The thought of us being separated through uncontrollable circumstances triggered the lyrics. Little did I know that soon we’d be separated, not knowing when we’d see each other again.”

With the current situation in the world, Anja hopes that the audience are able to relate to her song

I’m sure others will relate as we’re not the only ones who can’t be together right now. Not knowing what can happen next is why it is so important to live in the moment”
