Celebrity Karaoke Club
Yes, unfortunately for now the karaoke bars are closed. So ITV2 have decided staying in is the new going out and airing a brand new music entertainment show. BAFTA winning Monkey, the production company behind TV hits such as, Made In Chelsea, The Bi Life and TFI Friday have created Celebrity Karaoke Club. Later this year Courtney Act will compete against fellow stars of the British small screen, such as I’m A Celebrity winner and Gogglebox television personality Scarlett Moffatt, impressionist Luke Kempner, The Masked Singer host Joel Dommett, RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Baga Chipz and X Factor contestant Diana Vickers.
However, much like the entertainment industry itself, this will be every singer for themselves. In a twist to the usual singing competition formats, here performers can sip their cocktails and enjoy the show, like a real karaoke night. But we all know loose lips can sink ships. Which in this case means they can form alliances. Across the six shows, seven acts in each show will perform and judge each other. Before they decide between themselves to vote off one person that will leave the competition. After which more acts will arrive at the bar, hoping to break up the friendships and claim the title of Karaoke Club champion for themselves.
