🇦🇺 Jessica Mauboy signs with Warner Music Australia

After 16 years with Sony Music, Australia’s Eurovision 2018 representative Jessica Mauboy has signed a new deal with rival label Warner Music Australia.

New music to come in 2021

The Australian Eurovision 2018 representative has said that she is now ready for the next chapter of her career.

“I have had an incredible journey with Sony, for which I will forever be grateful. It’s now time for the next chapter of my career and I’m very excited to be joining the team at Warner Music.

I have been spending my time in studio lately and looking forward to releasing new music in the new year”

In addition, the President of Warner Music Australasia, Niko Nordström, said:

“Jessica is a warm-hearted superstar artist and an exceptionally unique talent and we at Warner Music Australia are so thrilled to welcome her to the family”

Jessica signed her first contract with Sony back in 2004 after she won a competition at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. 2 years later, she entered Australian Idol and finished 2nd. Since then, she has become one of Australia’s most high profile artists.

Before her participation in 2018, Jess made her first appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014, where she appeared as an interval act, and performed her song ‘Sea of Flags’

SBS selected Jessica to represent Australia in Portugal for Eurovision 2018. Her entry, “We Got Love”, was written by herself, Antony Egizii and David Musumeci.

During her participation, Australia managed to make it to the Grand Final once again, where Jess finished 20th in the Grand Final with 99 points.
