The winners of the annual Scandipop Awards have been revealed today. Plenty of Eurovision artists got nominated and some of them were victorious at this year’s awards.
KEiiNO win all their categories
KEiiNO won in three categories in this year’s Scandipop Awards. These are the best group, the best album and the best electropop with “Black Leather“. Another act winning more than one category was The Mamas, who won in the best new artist and the best breakthrough single with “Move“.
Three-time Melodifestivalen participant Dotter won the best pop with her 2020 entry “Bulletproof” while Sweden’s Eurovision 2010 representative Anna Bergendahl won the best EP with Vera. Benjamin Ingrosso got voted as the best male artist.
Norwegian singer and Melodi Grand Prix 2013 contestant Julie Bergan got the award for best dancepop for the song “Kiss Somebody” while Melodifestivalen star and Sweden’s Junior Eurovision 2006 representative Molly Sandén got the award for best r&b-pop for “Jag mår bra nu“.
Eurovision winner Carola and Swedish superstar Zara Larsson joined forces in “Säg mig var du står” and won the award for best schlager-pop over Erika Vikman‘s “Cicciolina” and Rein Alexander‘s “One Last Time”.
Former Alcazar-member Tess Merkel, who will compete in Melodifestivalen 2021 as a solo artist was voted as “the one to watch for”.
