One act gets a second chance

NRK has announced that the last chance round of Melodi Grand Prix 2021 has been moved from February 14th to February 15th.

Changes to the schedule

After all the five semifinals of Melodi Grand Prix, one more song will get a place in the final of the contest. All 15 artists, who don’t qualify from the semifinals will get a chance to make it to the final on the last chance round. The voting will open after the last semifinal on February 13th.

Originally the live broadcast was scheduled to Sunday, February 14 but has been now moved to February 15th. The show will be on NRK1, NRK P1 and online at nrk.no/mgp starting at 20:00CET. Like in the semifinals and the final, online voters will decide which song will go through to the final.

The second semifinal of Melodi Grand Prix will take place this Saturday, January 26th with one act qualifying directly to the grand final. Last week Blåsemafian feat. Hazel qualified to the final from the first semifinal of the contest.

Norway will select their entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2021 on February 20th. Next to the six acts qualifying from the semifinals and the last chance round, six songs have already been selected to the final by the broadcaster NRK.
