On February 20, Portugal will kick off Festival da Canção. We had the honour to have a chat with one of the candidates of this year’s edition. His name is Miguel Marôco and he will sing the song “Girassol”.
Who is Miguel Marôco?
He is a 21 year old guys with a big heart for music. Miguel has two big passions in life: music and mathematics. Music plays a role in his life for a long time already. He discovered the passion in his childhood. At the age of five he joined the Sociedade Filarmónica Recreativa de Pêro Pinheiro, at the age of eight he included the respective Philharmonic Band as a trumpeter and later as a percussionist. He followed the Conservatory of Music of Sintra in the Piano course, the studies continued at EAMCN, with the conclusion of the 8th grade. Want to hear more from Miguel? Miguel Marôco will perform his entry for the first time during the first semi final of Festival da Canção. That show will take place on February 20.
