Over the last past week, you have been submitting your predictions for the seventh round of Eurovision Prediction 2021. In our second ‘Super Saturday’ of the season, you were asked to predict the winners of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in Denmark, Eesti Laul in Estonia, Festival da Canção in Portugal and the winner of Italy’s Sanremo. Now, let’s take a look at who you collectively expect to win Sanremo.
With no eliminations this year, all 26 artists have advanced to the final night. As part of social distancing restrictions there will be no audience, and the evenings will finish no later than 2am local time.
The voting methods have differed each night. Every night a different voting bloc have contributed to the results, scoring on the performances they have seen that night:
- Tuesday: Demoscopic Jury (a jury selected by RAI that represents the Italian population)
- Wednesday: Demoscopic Jury
- Thursday: Orchestra Jury
- Friday: Press Jury
- Saturday: Televoting
Tonight, the addition of the televote will select the three super finalists. Once the superfinal is completed, the score of the final winner will be divided between 34% Public televoting; 33% Press Jury; 33% Demoscopic Jury.
Of course, the winner of Sanremo doesn’t necessarily end up representing Italy at Eurovision, although the winner does get first refusal. The participants have already disclosed their interest in Eurovision participation to Rai prior to this week.

During this round of Eurovision Prediction 2021, 162 of you have predicted who you think will take victory in Italy. Without further ado, here are the entries that YOU have predicted to win in order of frequency, from most to least:

Last year, almost 50% of our players predicted that Elodie would win Sanremo 2020. Meanwhile, eventual winner Diodato received only 5% of the predictions. Back in 2019, only around 1% of players accurately predicted Mahmood’s win.
Members of the ESCXTRA team may be disappointed by this result, as they selected Madame’s “VOCE” as their winner in our XTRA Decides feature.

We will publish the official results within 48 hours of the final. Stay tuned to see how you fare against the rest of the competition! In the meantime, voting for Round 8, the final round, will open soon!
Last year, our 420 prediction players only predicted the correct national winners 10 of out 27 times…an all-time low. To be fair, 2020 was a very unpredictable year in general. In 2019, our Eurovision Prediction players collectively predicted 16 out of 29 national final winners correctly. In 2018, your record was 19 out of 30.
After a…slow start to the season, our players hit a winning streak! Currently, our players have predicted 5 out of 8 national final results correctly. Can they keep their winning streak going?
