🇸🇪 United Kingdom to replace Belarus in Melodifestivalen jury

"It was a wrong decision that we selected Belarus as part of the international jury"

Earlier today, SVT revealed the eight jury countries that will provide 50% of the result at the Melodifestivalen 2021 final. Now new information has came in and the Belarusian jury has been replaced with a jury from United Kingdom.

The producer of Melodifestivalen, Karin Gunnarsson, says, that it was wrong decision to select Belarus as one of the juries.

It was a wrong decision that we selected Belarus as part of the international jury. The situation for free media is very serious in the country. We have therefore chosen to replace the jury group from Belarus with a jury group from the UK.

The eight jury groups award their points during the show in the Eurovision format of 12, 10, 8 through to 1. In total, the jury groups distribute 464 points. (8 x 58) The public vote continues after the jury points have bene revealed to give viewers the chance to react to the decision of the jury countries. The Swedish television viewers provide the other 464 points. (8 x 58 points) There are eight viewer age groups, with their votes converted to the 12, 10, 8-1 points.

The final will take place on Saturday, March 13th and will be hosted by Eurovision winner Måns Zelmerlöw and Shima Niavarani alongside the main host of this year’s competition, Christer Björkman.

The winner of the final will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam. Sweden will compete in the first semifinal of the contest on May 18th.

    Now I can avoid seeing them.

    Now I can think and see about/on other things somewhat little bit almost.

    Belarus doesn\’t deserve to be on anything as long as they are behaving like this.
